BRONZE MINIATURE LOGGING STATUE – Rolf Odegard Mayor of Nordre Land was represented by Geir S. Loeng who presented the Logging Statue to the Landings Lag in 2001 at Rapid City SD accepted by the Lag President, Sandy Hendrickson. The mayor’s committee for cultural affairs said: “The municipality of Nordre Land wants to acknowledge the way the Landingslaget in America has preserved Norwegian culture in general, and especially the “Land culture” in the United States. Nordre Land wants to reward Landingslaget for its excellent and extensive work through ninety years, and present to the lag a miniature of the logging statute in bronze made by the sculptor Erik Tandberg.
